Definition

Critical Communications Priority Services – Various priority services exist today to support key personnel in their critical communications during a National Security and Emergency Preparedness (NS/EP) condition. In addition to priority voice these services include priority video and data. Priority signaling/control and priority IP packet transport capabilities have been defined in standards to provide preferential treatment on communication by a service user (authorized by the Emergency Communications Division (ECD)) for NS/EP.
